Rick Rack Flower

In my daily search for cool new things to make and share I found these adorable embellishments made from cotton rick rack and felt.

And I of course made my own!

Mine took 2 yds. of 3/4″ cotton rick-rack and one small (2″ diameter) felt circle.

Finished size is approximately 3″ across.

Ways you could use these:

  • Combined with fabric yo-yos embellishing a denim skirt or jacket.
  • Add a pin back and make a corsage for Mom this Mother’s Day.
  • Sewn onto the pocket of an apron for some added kitschy kick.
  • Glued onto a hair clip or barrette.
  • Embellishing a totebag or purse.
  • Glue some on wooden skewers for colorful plant pokes.
  • Sandwich a small magnet between flower back and another piece of felt, sew edges closed and you have a unique refrigerator magnet.
  • The ideas are practically endless!
