About
My Eclectic Mess is owned and operated by Beth Oberle. It is the summation of a lifetime of sewing and crafting and retail experience. Beth started sewing as a young girl under the guidance of her mother. She continued to sew, knit, and craft all through school while participating in the county 4-H program, winning many ribbons and awards along the way. She received a B.S. degree from Michigan State University in Merchandise/Retail management in 1989.
After working in a variety of retail jobs, she “retired” in 1993 to be a stay at home Mom to her first daughter, Sarah. In 1997 she was promoted to “mother of two” when Emma was born. During these years she has passed her creative skills on to her daughters and many of their contemporaries through work with church schools, Girl Scouts, and private instruction. All the while she continued to expand her creative interests, eventually becoming a truly eclectic crafter. Over the years Beth has enjoyed sewing, knitting, paper-crafts, photography, fabric dyeing, polymer clay, doll making and many other mediums.
Beth looks forward to bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm for all types of crafts to fellow “Mess Makers” of the Fox Valley area.
